You may see it sometimes, but if it is consistently visible there might be a problem. If you're seeing it all the time, take your cat to the vet.

In most cases, a cats third eyelid comes out when the animal is dehydrated, or sick. If it stays out for more then a couple days, consult your vet immediately. In my experiences, it usually has to do with upper respiratory infections, though it could be a number of illnesses. Ensure the animal drinks plenty of water and keep watch.

If the third eyelid is bulging and probably red you should take your cat to the vet to be examined, for a number of problems.

Well if the eyelid is showing that means there is something wrong with your cat. I suggest you take her to the vet to find out what is wrong. It is not normal.

Generally a third eyelid showing is not normal. You should take your cat to a vet to see why it's showing and what to do to fix it. It's possible surgery may be required.

A cat's third eyelid (nictitating membrane) does not show in a healthy cat. If this membrane is showing it indicates your cat is ill and needs immediate veterinary attention.

It is normal for the third eyelid to show a tiny bit in the corner of the eye. If it is covering more of the eye, it can indicate illness.
