Why is low side pressure high on my A/C?

It could be a variety of issues. It could be a faulty metering device, a kinked copper line or most likely, the compressor is going out and will require replacement in the near future.

You may not have the right fluid installed in the system it is best if you try to replace the fluid in the system.

The low side pressure is high due to about 3 reasons. First, the heat load on the A/C is high and it was impropely designed. Second, the valves on the compressor are bad and the discharge and suction are about equal. Third, the unit is severely overcharged. Call a qualified technician.
