Did you have viral fever recently? First, you need to consult a doctor. Sometimes when you lose your sense of taste it's because you have a sinus infection and this can affect your ability to taste things. Additionally, if this is your problem, the trigenimal nerve can be irritated and this can cause very severe pain.
