The smoke from cigarettes is poison. It causes cancer and a host of diseases. It also minimizes the amount of oxygen your lungs can take in for your brain and organs. The dizziness is a warning to STOP poisoning yourself. You should listen to your body.

This comes from a combination of the effects of the nicotine and from the reduction in oxygen that you are getting.

There are several reasons. First you are inhaling carbon monoxide which binds more avidely to red blood cells hemoglobin than oxygen does. When it reaches your tissue it doesn't let go, unlike oxygen. Thus you brain is mildly oxygen starved. Also the nicotine is vasoactive and your brain is not used to a sudden change is vasculature compliance.
