Why does my van stumble when traveling at a steady speed?

There are several reasons for an automobile to stumble or surge while cruising. The first item to check is the sparkplugs. Worn out sparkplugs prevent the engine from running as normal. The next area to address is a vacuum leak. Check all the hoses starting with the hose connected to the pcv valve.

Depending on the weight of the van, it may be a weight problem and you may have to shift a weight in the trunk in order to even out.

Well the brakes may need to be updated and also the car may require some more fluid. That is probably the reason why it's stumbling at such a steady speed.
