Your left arm feels like it's burning all the time because you have nerve damage of some kind. This can be external or internal, as in a disease process such as diabetes. You should see a Neurologist to further examine your arm and to evaluate the process. This can be treated if looked at early.

This could be a couple of things. One, you are having an allergic reaction or contact dermatitis from something in the enviroment that is affecting your skin. Two, you have some kind of nerve damage that is giving you phantom pains, most likely a impinged nerve in the should joint.

Is it possible that you have Shingles? If you have had Chicken Pox, in adulthood you can develop Shingles, and it is very painful. Same virus family as Chicken Pox, Herpes virus. You don't mention if you've any visual symptoms, the only other thing I can think of that would cause a burning sensation, an infection of some sort, sunburn.

You feel like your left arm like burning is due to any type of allergies. You may have applied any ointments over there for pains or itching.
