What are some causes of numbness in my left arm?

Since it's your left arm, the scariest cause would be heart problems. However, it could also be something like a pinched nerve, or carpal tunnel, if you do a lot of repetitive work.

One of the most frightening thing is a heart attack. Either call 911 or go to the emergency room and have it checked out. Or it can be a pinched nerve in your shoulder area. Either way it is an emergency.

Tingling maybe caused by muscle tension in your shoulders causing pressure on nerves. If the tingling is near your wrist, you could have carpel tunnel syndrome. If you have diabetes, you may be experiencing nerve damage. Left arm tingling is a sign of heart attacks.

Heart attack. Numbness is the left arm is alomst always a sign of a heart attack. Bursitis in the sholder can cause it as well as simply sleeping on it wrong.
