Why does my car buck at cruising speed?

I have a Plymouth Voyager.

This is usually caused by bad spark plugs, causing the engine not to fire. The first thing you should do is change the spark plugs to see if that works.

One or more of the cylinders in the engine is not "firing". Usually the problem is bad spark plugs/wires but it may be more serious.

You have one of two possible problems. First the car engine is missing out at higher speeds, giving the bucking feel. Or the engine has a fuel problem and is flooding the engine with too much fuel.

your car bucks at a cruising speed because it is adjusting to the speed you set it at. The car naturally will buck when it is preparing to accelerate in order to be able to maintain the speed you desired. The Plymouth Voyager seems to do that a lot to me as well.

I would assume that you are having an issue with the ignition or fuel system causing a misfire. I would check out both system thoroughly.

This is probably due to some type of misfire. Do a tune up. Make sure your plugs aren't worn and you have no engine damage.
