Why does love have to hurt?

Because love takes work. When you are looking for love, you risk getting hurt and rejected. Once you find love, you risk loosing it. Not to mention that maintaining love takes effort- You will get in fights, and you may go through times that are testing to your relationship.

Everyone who watches T. V. thinks that love is this magical thing that always ends up like the fairy tales. However it's not usually the case. It's just a fact of life. Sometimes love goes well and sometimes it goes wrong.

If you love someone you will be ready to do anything for them though it is difficult. In the same way you expect it back. When it doesn't come back it hurts you a lot. If you are a possessive person who cannot tolerate any other's love to your loved one even then it hurts you.
