The serious springboard divers, and the ones you find in the Olympics in particular, shower before and between jumps in order to keep their muscles loose. Always warm water.

Divers and swimmers usually shower after getting out of the pool to remove the chlorine water. The chlorine water can dry out the skin.

It is rumored that they do this to wash the bacteria of the pool off of them, but in reality, it is to keep their muscles warm and loose. They use warm water to shower under, between dives.
