Why do people get off work at 5pm?

The time was decided to be 5:00 pm by whoever your boss is at your specific job. We correlate the middle class American worker as working the standard office job from 9-5 because most middle class employers use this set time for their employees. However the time is ultimately decided by your employer not a typical middle class American.

well i think ...because then you have plenty of time after work to do a lot of stuff , to go out and other things
