Numbness in the feet is caused by a decrease in blood flow to the area. It generally occurs when you have your feet elevated for some time, legs crossed, or anything else that would restrict flow to the feet. It usually goes away on its own, however, prolongned numbness should be brought up to a physician.

It could be several reasons, diabetes, poor blood circulation and a combination of the two. Get to a doctor and let the doctor know your symptoms.
