Why do I see blood when I breast feed?

I gave birth 35 days ago. First child.

This is not normal. The only time a mother could expect bleeding is if her child child has teeth and has bitten her during breastfeeding. If there is blood in the breast milk or if you are bleeding from the nipple, see a doctor. If the skin is so thin you see blood, still seek evaluation.

It is possible that you have a breast infection, although a more likely cause is a crack or abrasion on an irritated nipple.
