With so little information, this is a difficult question to answer. As a medical doctor of over twenty years, I have seen patients who were losing their voice for lots of different reasons. If you are a singer or someone who uses their voice frequently, you should take a short (three week) break. Otherwise, the best advice: see a doctor!

Any damage to lesions, polyps or some injury or viral infection in vocal cord can be a reason to lose your voice. Common cold and flue may be the causes.

You may have a throat problem like pharinchitis. Don't drink or eat cold food or drinks. Gargle with salt water and regularly do steam inhalation. Consult an ENT Specialist.
