It may be caused by Blepharitis. Try washing the eylid with baby shampoo, then apply a warm soft compress. It is advised to leave the compress on for five minutes at a time, and repeat four times a day. Sometimes antibiotic treatments will be required for the treatment of certain types of Blepharitis.

You might be experiencing an allergic reaction to something that comes into contact with that side of your face on a regular basis. Another possibility is an eye infection that is on the inside of the eyelid. An eye doctor can determine if prescription drops are needed. Over the counter eye gels might give you some relief in the meantime.

That can be from a number of reasons. You might have had an allergic attack that decided to show up on your eyelid. A bug might have bitten you on your eyelid while you were sleeping. You might have pink eye. If the swelling continues to the point it is difficult to see, go to a doctor.

Your red puffy swollen eyelid could be due to allergies, something that is in your eye that irritated your eyelid, or possibly an infection that is commonly called pink eye. If it doesn't get better in a day or so, it is best to go see your doctor for diagnosis.
