Some Rashes are usually from viruses thasuch as fever.chicken pox, fifth disease, and roseola. Most viruses, do not cause specific type of rash as chicken pox does. These rashes can have many different appearances, such as lacy or pimply, raised or flat, bumps, spots, or blotches, and they often start on the trunk, and then spread to the extremities.

Generally it is due to the dehydration the skin and body go through after high temperatures. The body trying to fight the infection is focused on getting rid of the foreign body. So the skin gets dry and irritated. If it is bad and is of a real concern contact a doctor. Have it looked at.

The immune system can have a reaction to a fever or an infection in the body. This can been seen in the form of a rash on the body before, during or after the illness. This usually is something that is a virus and doesn't need to be treated and will go away in a few days.

A rash is a common symptom for a virus just like a fever is a common symptom for a virus. If a person has some sort of a virus it is certainly not unheard of for them to also develop a fever and a rash at the same time, or for these symptoms to follow each other.
