Why do I get bloodshot eyes when I drink alcohol?

By it's nature alcohol thins you blood. So when you drink it it can make it easier for blood to flow to certain ares like the tiny capillaries in your eyes. This means that they become bloodshot easier.

The eyes indicate much about how well the liver functions are going on. When drinking alcohol, the liver gets intoxicated to a point it can not function well to clean the substance absorbed in the blood this is what is displayed in the eyes.
