Eyelashes are genetically programmed to only grow so long, so once they reach this length they will fall out. Sometimes they will fall out too early due to many things including poor diet or trauma.

Just as our ordinary hair falls out when it has run its course, eyelashes also fall out. It doesn't usually fall out for any reason (unless you have an illness or are taking medicine that causes hair loss). It's just a way for the hair to refresh itself.

Eyelashes falling out may be because of wiping your eyes with too much force, the way you take off your eye makeup, nutritional deficiency or eyelid infections.

Eyelashes do fall out because sometimes it can get uprooted from your eyelids. Also, they undergo a process of change and fall off once in awhile without you having noticing it.

Eyelashes fall out normally from time to time. Just like your hair. I believe that it takes 6 months before the grow back all the way. If you rub your eyes vigorousley, that will make them fall out as well. A thyroid condition can also be the reason for eyelashes falling out.
