Why do Americans adopt Chinese babies?

Many Americans adopt Chinese babies because the waiting process and amount of adoptable infants is higher in China. In the United States there are many children that are adoptable but most of them have passed the infant age already and most people prefer to adopt a child while it is still an infant.

I think the television shows some third world country with children living in squallor and with their extended bellies with no food. People do not see images of American kids that are like which also need to be adopted.

Maybe because they might want to have asian in their family.Perhaps,they want to experience having a different race in their family.

The reason being is that there are a lot of young girls that need to be adopted in China, because of the one child policy. Couples adopt from various places.
