There are a few reasons this is happening but the most common is too little or too much nitrogen as well as too much heat.

Yellow leaves can be a sign of insufficient nitrogen in the soil. Amend your soil yearly by fertilizing a general fertilizer. This is a sign of poor nutrition so check if there are any signs of infestation. It may also be as sign that the plant is aging and is starting to die out.

The most common problems are that you are either over watering, not enough water, they have insects, or it is time for them to die.
