Cigarettes are bad for you the same way inhaling smoke in a burning building is bad for you. They contain several toxic chemicals which you are inhaling into your lungs. Additionally, they are full of nicotine, which means you are not only inhaling dangerous substances, but that you are compelled to do so and may find it difficult to stop.

Cigarettes put smoke, carrying countless toxins, into your lungs. These toxins coat your insides and reduce lung capacity. There is also speculation that the carcinogens in cigarettes can cause cancer.

Smoking a cigarette puts many harmful substances into your body. Nicotine is an addictive substance, and it is poisonous in rather small doses. Cigarette smoke also contains Carbon Monoxide, which is poisonous, and tar, which causes cancer, as well as small doses of cyanide, arsenic and benzene.

Not only do they pollute your lungs, they give you horrible breath and stain your teeth. On top of that, they really effect your immune system. If you stopped smoking, most people would get less colds and other infections.

Cigarettes are bad for health as they contain around 4000 chemicals which are bad for biological life. Some of the substances include: Nicotine, which causes addictiveness and blocks arteries by depositing fat. Tar, which causes cancer. CO, which combines readily with Hemoglobin to produce CarboxyHemoglobin which is irreversible and therefore RBCs become useless. Benzene, more commonly known as Petrol.
