There can be several causes for tingling in your arm. You may have muscle tension in your shoulders causing pressure on nerves. If the tingling is near your wrist, you could have carpel tunnel syndrome. If you have diabetes, you may be experiencing nerve damage which will cause tingling in the extremities.

There could be any number of reasons for it: an injury could have caused nerve damage in the area, you could have a blood clot or plaque buildup in the arteries of your arm, you may be developing carpal tunnel syndrome, or you may even be showing signs of multiple sclerosis. You should see a doctor as soon as possible.

This is a serious problem and you should visit the doctor. A nerve in your neck or back could be pinched, or the flow of blood to your arm could be constricted in some way. Notice whether it tingles constantly or after certain activities. Try to position it while sleeping so that your arm has good blood flow.

This is something that you should see a health care professional about as it could be spinal issue; ie the disc pressing against the bones/vertebrae of the spine. You could also have a blood clot impairing the circulation to that arm - get it checked please - could be serious but isn't always so!
