It depends which book you mean really. Kevin O'Brien wrote a book called The Last Victim but Jason Moss, and Jeffrey Kottler also wrote a book called The Last Victim: A True-Life Journey into the Mind of the Serial Killer. To me, they both sound endearing and thrilling. Perhaps you should read them both.

Jason Moss wrote the book with the help of Jeffrey Kottler, who was one of Moss's professors at UNLV. While a student, Moss started a "psycho pen pal" relationship with serial killer John Wayne Gacy, as well as Charles Manson, Richard Ramirez and Jeffrey Dahmer. Moss was enthralled by sociopathology and created the book detailing the correspondence.
