Joan L. Nixson, the author of many young reader novels, wrote a wonderful book called A Family Apart. This book, as does so many of her novels, deals with adoption and family relationships. This is the first book in a series called The Orphan Train Adventures. The entire series is well worth the read.

Joan Lowery Nixon wrote "A Family Apart." It's part of the Orphan Train series which includes "Caught in the Act," "A Place to Belong," "In the Face of Danger," "A Dangerous Promise," and "Circle of Love."

'A Family Apart' was written by Joan Lowery Nixon, and it's the first book in the Orphan Train Quartet. The other books in the series are worth reading if you enjoyed this one.
