39 of 55 delegates signed the Constitution. The signers included; George Washington, George Read, John Dickinson, Richard Basset, James McHenry, Daniel Carroll, John Blair, James Madison Jr, William Blount, Hugh Williamson, Pierce Butler, Alexander Hamilton, whose signature was the largest, George Clymer, Roger Sherman, and Benjamin Franklin.

The U. S. Constitution was signed by 39 of the 55 delegates attending the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Delegates from 12 of the 13 United States signed, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton. Rhode Island declined to send a delegate to the convention. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were not present, being overseas at the time.
