Andy Serkis played Gollum, and he has also appeared in King Kong, although you won't recognise him because again he was controlling the main character (King Kong) through CGI motion capture techniques. He has also appeared in 13 going on 30 with Jennifer Gardener, Inkheart, and The Prestige alongside David Bowie.
