Who owns the San Antonio Light?

Originating as The Evening Light in 1881, it was eventually owned by the Hearst Corporation but went out of business in 1993 when Hearst tried to sell it but could not find a buyer. Instead the Hearst Corporation bought the San Antonio Express-News, which had been merged together by News Corporation.

The last owner of San Antonio Light was Hearst corporation. The first publication in this newspaper was in 1881 and the last was 1992 after Hearst Corporation asked for a new buyer and no one appeared.

In the present San Antonio Light has no owner because stopped publishing in 1993 and till then was property of The Hearst Corporation.
