Yes, Microsoft mogul Bill Gates is the richest man in the world. Worth a net value of roughly 58 billion dollars. He's been at the top of the list for the past decade or so if I recall correctly. Just in case you were curious, the richest man in the world is Warren Buffet with 62 billion.

Forbes announced that Bill Gates continues to be the richest man in the USA. Bill Gates is worth over $40 Billion this year, which is actually lower than last year when he was worth over $58 Billion, but due to the stock market crashes due to the current economy he has lost $18 Billion, but is still the richest.

Yes, Bill Gates is the richest man in the U. S. A and in the world (if you exclude royalty). He is worth aproximatly $40. 0 billion,the vast majority of wich is a direct result of his ownership of Microsoft stocks, the company he helped get started and is still actively working in.
