Fidel Castro lead Cuba from 1959 - 2008. Omar Bongo Ondimba was president of Gabon from 1967 - 2009. If you are talking about current leaders, Moammar Gadhafi has been the de facto leader in Libya since a military coup on Sept. 1, 1969.
