The current Canadian Prime Minister is Stephen Harper. He was elected in 2006. Before Harper took office, Paul Martin served as PM from 2003 to 2006. Harper is the 22nd prime minister of Canada and is a member of the Conservative Party. He is a native of Toronto and now lives in the PM's official residence in Ottawa.
