Nancy Stouffer fraudulently claimed that J. k. Rowling plagiarized her works ("The Legend of Rah and the Muggles" and "Larry Potter and His Best Friend Lily") for the writing of her famous Harry Potter novels. A jury found her guilty of fraud and perjury, and fined in $50,000 in 2002.
