Where is the VIN located on a Mustang?

The VIN number should be located on a small metal tag visible in the lower left hand corner of the windshield.

VIN codes are universally located on the left lower (driver's) corner of the windshield/dashboard. It's located there so Law Enforcement Officers can find it if a car is abandoned or stolen - and sunken so that removal is difficult. If it is not there, I would suspect that the car is "hot".

On most vehicles the vin tag should be located on the dash, at the bottom of the windshield on the drivers side. It should either be a stamped metal tag or a sticker if it is a newer car.

it should be on the driver side dash where the windshield and the dash meet, make sure something has not fallen down in that crack and covered it
