Where is the best place to take a Penn trumpet for repair?

Answer by  RSmith (35)

It depends where you live, a lot of Music repair chains are regional. If you are in the Pacific Northwest, Kennelly Keys has several locations that repair instruments of all types. They are very good. Also, Mills Music has multiple locations that will repair instruments in the state of Washington.

Look in your local yellowpages for music repair shops that specialize in trumpets and instruments. If you don't have any, there are shops online that would accept shipments for repair but they often cost a lot. Depending on the damage, it may be more cost efficient to get a new trumpet.

The best place to repair a Penn trumpet is a company named Bandman which is located in Duncansville, Pennsylvania. They offer top quality repair for all brass equipments and are one of the few repair shops out there that have the knowledge and the skill to handle instruments such as the Penn trumpet.

The closest music shop possible. If possible, search on the internet and find out what is wrong with your trumpet and try to repair it yourself. Contact the Penn company if needed. Take it to a school if all else fails and have the music teacher take a look at it.
