How do you check for a leaking fuel injector and then repair it?

Can I just replace the gasket or do I have to replace the whole injector?

First find the fuel rail,Second then look at each injector and look for leaks. Third if leak is found then remove the fuel rail carefully then the leaking injector, and lastly look at the o-ring on the injector and if it is damaged replace it if not a cracked injector.

A leakiing fuel injector can be found by a drop in fuel pressure or a misfire cause by to much fuel if there is a check engine light on pull the code this can help locate it. If a fuel inject is found to be leaking it must be replaced.

Well for the most part when a injector is failed or has failed it usually has to be replaced. There are a few places that have the equipment to test an injector. It isn't something you can test yourself really. In rare cases a injector can be rebuilt but it can be easier and cheaper just to replace it.
