Local thrift stores usually have all sorts of different types of clothing. Usually, you can find some things and piece them together. Also, you can search it on ebay, which would have a greater selection. Local costume shops would be helpful. You can usually buy or just rent from them.

There are many places in San Francisco where you can find theatrical costumes. There is a place on Haight Street called Costumes on Haight that sells a variety of different looks. Cliff's Variety on Castro also has unique costumes.

Your best bet is to search the internet for the specific costume you're looking for. Most websites will ship their products anywhere.
