It straddles the Colorado/Utah border in the far northern parts of the states. However, you can only see dinosaur fossils on the Utah side right now (parts of the park are closed for construction). The closest town is Jensen, Utah. It is about 4 hours from Salt Lake City or 5 1/2 hours from Denver.

The park is located in the state of Utah and Colorado. It can be found in the Uinta Mountains which border both states.
