Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, O'Reilly Auto Parks and Pep Boys all carry some Chilton manuals. Many times though those stores only have the latest vehicles. If your vehicle is more than 10 years old I would suggest you contact Haynes Publishing for the book for your year model. Old parts houses, bookstores and yard sales, too.
