Where do you change the filer in the air conditioner intake duct?

The filter is going to be behind the return air grill. It's usually somewhat close to the furnace itself or will be the largest grill within the building.

Some air conditioning systems will have two filters one for the intake to protect the moving parts from debris and one for the output of clean cool air into the home. They will be located directly on either side of the unit and should just slide in and out locking in place with some sort of spring loaded tabs.

Small closets or attics contain the intake duct for AC system. The filter is right in front of a large hole. Mine was in a closet in the hallway.
