Where do you buy canning jars?

I love having a garden of my own right in my back yard. There are so many different vegetables out there, but what to choose? One of my favorites are cucumbers. but once I grow them then its time to start canning. My favorite place to get my jars is Walmart. They have very good deals!

You can usually buy canning jars in grocery stores, although this isn't the big season for canning-- the fall is when you really find stuff everywhere. You might get better prices in the off-season. When you buy the jars, it's good to get one of the metal, rubber covered jar-grippers for taking them out of the water you sanitize in.

You can buy them at Wal-Mart or online. They also sell plastic lids, which I like for storage because they're a lot easier to open and close.
