Lions typically live on the African savanna, not the jungle. Though, they are called king of the jungle because they are at the top of the food chain in that ecosystem. This means that they are the top predator. They hunt various prey of the ecosystem, but nothing hunts them.

Lions live on the African continent. They live in the plains regions of numerous countries. They have been described as the King of the Jungle, but this is not an accurate description since they live in family groups in the open plain region.
