Where do insects go when it rains?

Do they just stay out on it?

The reason is that it depends upon the amount it rains. When the rain is to be moderate means they take their shelter under the leaves and rock crevices. When the rain is heavy some insect float and find a new environment and some may die.

Some bugs are small enough that they can go in between rain drops. But mostly they try to find cover some where as they can easily drown/suffocate.
