Some pet stores do have snakes. Exotic pet stores should have them. Sometimes large chain pet stores will have smaller ones. If you know what kind of snake you are looking for, there are also many on-line dealers that have websites where you can order one as well.

Some pet stores may sell snakes, but they will probably be older than babies. The best places to find baby snakes are online (through a company that will mail the snake to you) and at reptile shows. Reptile shows will allow you to see the snake before you buy it.
