Thin pizza was invented in Punjab, India and brought to this country by immigrants from that region that run most of the pizzerias in the US today.

Well the original pizza crust was actually pretty thin. When it was created in Italy it consisted of a thin crust covered with sliced cheese and tomato. Many years later American created there own pizza buried under so manning toppings that it had to be thick and baked longer.

Thin crust pizza originated in Italy of course! That is where pizza was born. Traditional Italian pizza is healthy with a thin crust and not too much cheese and vegetables.

It is believed to have been in New york City. There have been disputes to this ranging from Neighborhood pizzas in Naples, Italy to Montevideo in Uruguay.
