Try Ebay, Amazon, there are numerous web-sites that sell discount books at affordable prices, if your attending college check with students that have completed the class you will be taking I am sure some of them would sell there old books at a good price they could use the money.

I would look in used bookstores around the school, and find a student center in the school. Many college students resell their books. Also try online.
