There are many different free antivirus applications, I suggest to instal one of these two antivirus : Microsoft Essential (http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/) and AVGFree (http://free.avg.com/gb-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free).

Several free Anti-virus applications are available, three of the most common are Microsoft's Windows Live OneCare and products from avast! and Grisoft. All three are provided by reputable companies and widely used online.
