This task is harder than it seems. There are websites that purport to give answers. But migration over the centuries has moved the same name through different spellings; immigration officials often used the spelling common to their ethnicity for names. The most effective search considers the genealogy of the family alongside a search regarding the last name.

You need to go to Google/Yahoo or whatever, and type in "Where can I find the nationality of last names? " From there, it will guide you to a list of sites they found that should be relevant to what you want.
