How can I find out the name of a particular song from an opera?

I don't know the opera. I heard the song in a commercial.

Try to make out the words of the song. With some specific text you can search digital databases in libraries. Most opera-songs are named after the first few words /sentence

Type the lyrics into either google or a lyrics search engine as well as you can remember them. That typically works. You can also include the words lyrics and opera in your search for best chances of finding it!

Try to sing it to some people who are knowledgeable in opera music. You can also try typing the lyrics on an online search engine.

You can try to shazam it. This is a program on the iPhone which can listen to a piece of music and tell you the name of the song and the artist. Another idea is to see if you can understand or see what language the opera is in and research it that way. The song is probably an aria.

As with any song a search engine can probably yield results of a song title even without the other information. Just type in the lyrics you know and hit search!

If you can distinguish some of the words try typing them on , followed by the word "lyrics". Generally you'll come up with the name of the song.
