There are several magazines that are devoted to hairstyles. You should also find books of hairstyles at your salon. But don't stop there. Look all around you. For instance, if you see a picture of a celebrity or model whose hair you like, cut or print it out and take it with you to the salon.

There are thousands of websites devoted to showing different haircuts, hairstyles, and even hair color. There are also magazines devoted specifically to hairstyles, which aren't too expensive.
