The world wide web has a lot of info to offer. All you have to do is search through a search engine and type in exactly what you want to do. You will be sure to find tutorials, either step by step directions with photos, or you may even find video tutorials on youtube.

You may be able to find some written instructions and possibly a few images on the packaging of the door lock. If that is not available a good place to start your search for instructions on installing the lock would be on youtube. You will be able to find step by step video tutorials there.

Some times if you buy locks they usually come with instructions on how you can install them. But if the instructions dont ask any store that sells them.

Most home improvement stores sell books that contain helpful instructions for this sort of project. These books usually have more detailed instructions and better pictures then the instructions included with the lock. You could also try the website for the DIY network.
