If you are trying to feed strays, you have a couple of options. First would be to check with retail stores in the area to see if they will donate ripped bags. Another option is to try your local freecycle. A third option would be to email the pet food manufacturers for samples or coupons.

Try going to pet stores and ask if they would be willing to donate bags that come in that are ripped or past date that they can't sell.
